Clipping.Agency Verification Standards

Clipping.Agency is a neutral discovery layer for the clipping industry. Verification is our evidence-based review process. This page explains exactly what it does and does not mean.

What verification means

A verified agency completed the Clipping.Agency verification process. Our team reviewed supporting information related to the agency's business, services and selected claims. Verification is applied manually by our review team — it is never granted automatically on payment.

What we review

  • Business VerifiedWe review information indicating the agency is a real, operating business — registration details, company profiles, founder/team information.
  • Client Work ReviewedWe review supporting evidence for stated client relationships, such as contracts, invoices, campaign records or references.
  • Performance Evidence ReviewedWe review supporting evidence for selected performance claims, such as analytics exports or platform screenshots.
  • Distribution Network ReviewedWe review supporting information about how the agency distributes content, including its clipper or creator network.

Signals are awarded individually. An agency may hold some signals without holding all of them.

What we do not guarantee

  • We do not guarantee an agency's future results or campaign performance.
  • We do not audit financial records and do not describe our review as an independent audit.
  • Claims submitted by an agency are labelled as agency-reported unless we reviewed supporting evidence for that specific claim.
  • Verification is not an endorsement, recommendation or ranking.

How agencies apply

Any listed agency can apply. Basic listings are free. Verification requires a one-time application and review fee of $299, which covers our review work. Agencies submit business details, service and operating-model information, distribution network information, client work and performance claims, along with supporting documentation. Supporting documents are stored privately and are not published.

How long verification lasts

Verification is valid for 12 months from the verification date and is shown publicly as "Verified as of [month, year]". Agencies may be asked to re-verify when their verification expires or if their business or claims materially change.

Reporting inaccuracies

If you believe a verified agency has misrepresented its business, client work or performance, email hello@clipping.agency with the agency name and any supporting details. We review every report and can suspend or revoke verification.

Verified is separate from paid placement

Verification is based on evidence. Featured placement is paid advertising and is always clearly labelled. Paying for placement never affects a verification decision.
